The new GATHER YE BLOSSOMS WHILE YE MAY t-shirt has been selected as a t-finalist (this is one of twenty designs chosen). It will be worn and adorned by a fashion model....

The twenty winning designs will be showcased in a fashion show and exhibition at Crystal Couture on February 24th, 2009. Crystal Couture, a two week extravaganza of fun and fashion. The event will feature sample sales, runway and trunk shows from designers, local boutiques, and area salons. Each night will feature a theme with unique drinks, food tastes, and exciting fashions and music. The event is free and open to the public.

THE DIRTY SHOW

FROM THE DETROIT FREE PRESS: THE DIRTY SHOW: It hasn't replaced flowers and chocolates yet, but the Dirty Show is getting to be a downright traditional part of Valentine's Day in the Motor City. The annual display of erotica (this year's show is No. 10) includes paintings, photographs, video and performance art. 7 p.m.-2 a.m., Bert's Warehouse Theatre, 2739 Russell St., Detroit. $10-$15. Also 7 p.m.-2 a.m. Saturday, noon-6 p.m. Sunday, 7 p.m.-midnight Feb. 13 and 7 p.m.-2 a.m. Feb. 14. 21 and up; 18 and up Sunday and Feb. 13.

EROTIC ART AT THE UPFRONT GALLERY


From the High Plains Reader, "It all begins with the Upfront Gallery’s Annual Erotic Art Exhibit, a show that gallery director James Wolberg says has typically been their most popular in terms of both artist submissions and audience response...". This painting titled, "GOOD BOY" and the other titled, "I STOLE YOUR LOVE" were both accepted into the show.... looks like a great time. Check out more going-ons at Upfront.

ABE LINCOLN EXHIBIT AT THE ROURKE


A painting titled "BLUE GRAY" that I completed for the Happy Birthday Uncle Abe Exhibit at The Rourke Art Museum in Moorhead Minnesota. The exhibition opens on February 12. Art by William Charles Harbort aka Billy Chuck, Trygve K. Olson, John Scott Postovit, Jonathan Rutter, Philip J. Thompson, Sarah Jane Thompson, Jonathan Twingley, as well as 19th century art and artifacts. The preview is on February 12th from 6:30-8 pm and the public opening is on Sunday the 15th from 1:30-3:30 pm.
